Despite the positive reviews on this product, I found it to be unworthy of even one star. To start with you cannot rinse it under water and its sole power source is one AA battery. It was also completely ineffective for trimming body hair, and it bit into my skin everywhere I tried it. RUN AWAY from this piece of garbage!!!

I expected something nicer for paying $30. I could get one at a store with this quality for ~ $15. Battery that came with the package is no good. And the place to put the battery is loose. Overall, just feels cheap. =(

My wife and I were looking for a trimmer to, how shall I say, “closely” trim her bikini line. We own a Wahl trimmer, but it is quite bulky and is really meant for trimming neck hair, sideburns, beards, etc…not the bikini line. We even tried waxing, but that was just too painful for her.
Based on good reviews we decided to try this trimmer. So far, we are quite happy. It trims very closely…probably the equivalent to how close it would be maybe 12 hours or so after shaving with a good razor. It is also small and agile enough for detail work. If you are reasonably careful and don’t move too fast, it doesn’t jerk, bite, or grab the hair.
It is easy to clean and runs on a single AA battery, so it is very convenient to use.
For what we bought it for, it works quite nicely.

This is a fantastic trimmer/shaver and it is the one I have been searching for for years. I have used similar models that are not T shaped by Conair and other brands and they are terrible in every way. It was awkward to shave in many places, it would cut, the batteries didn’t last (one such device I had to change the battery once a week to keep it up to speed!). Not so with the Shavy Femini. The head is bigger so it grabs more hair and you get done faster, it does not cut, and it trims remarkably close which is fantastic. I have owned it since early September and the original battery is still going strong. It also works great for the face, though it will not be as close as with a traditional blade–but no irritation. It’s also great for “intimate” areas, as it is designed. Just a fantastic all purpose trimmer at a very competitive price with good Seiko Japanese quality–this isn’t “Made in China” junk.
