  1. Desiree says:

I used to use Nair and it burned my legs and underarms the chemicals were strong and the smell was terrible. Than I tried Veet and boy was I surprised. You would think that little hair scraper wouldn’t work but it does. I like the pleasant smell my legs are very smooth. I got nervous the first time I used it and took it off to quick but when I tried it on my underarms it took the hair right off. If you don’t want to pay a lot for an epilator or go through that terrible waxing than buy this product.

I love this product. I had many problem with shaving. I had razor bumps, and I had to shave every 2 days. Veet makes the hair grow back in a week. It also took all the hair off for me. I was amazed and you will be too!

  3. I’ve never used a hair removal cream, so I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. I did expect, really, for it to remove the hair… which on me, it did not. I followed the instructions exactly, and used the little scraper (which seems sort of unreasonable… if you’re willing to SCRAPE the hair off your legs, why not just shave them?), and after all that, maybe only 20% of the hair came off. I tried again a few days later, leaving it on a minute longer, but the results were the same. At least the scent was pleasant and the cream did not burn, which some people had told me it might. I will not buy this again, nor will I even finish the rest of the bottle. I may try another cream that doesn’t require scraping…

  4. Veet sounded very promising for me. I wanted to try and remove hair from my bikini area without shaving, since I seem to cut myself there repeatedly when I shave there. I thought Veet was the perfect solution. I’ve never tried Nair, but I hear it smells not nearly as bad as Nair does. Truth be told, there is a stench, but it’s not anything one can’t live with. The problem I have with Veet is that even though I bought the Sensitive Skin formula (and to my knowledge I don’t even have sensitive skin) I break out in my bikini area. It’s strange because I have used it on my legs and my armpits and do not break out there. I get these little red bumps all over my area (plus while the cream is on it itches, but doesn’t itch on my armpits or legs) and this time, I saw spots of blood. I’m not sure if it’s from the Veet directly, or maybe from scabs Veet left behind when I used it in that area about 2 weeks ago. (in which I broke out then too but subsquently used it on my legs and was fine so I tried it again just now). Also, it doesn’t work nearly as good as shaving. I used Veet on one leg, and shaved the other. The bladeless razor is just as slow as shaving, PLUS you have to wait 5 or more minutes to let the cream work before you shave. AND it didn’t remove all of the hair. And the cream sticks to the razor and u have to rub it off under water after every stroke. And after all that, the hair grows back at the same rate as the shaven leg, so no benefits there either. I give it two stars though, because if you let your hair get long (like under the armpit) before you use Veet (but who would!) it works very well getting it out. Of course, I don’t use the bladeless razor anymore, just a washcloth and warm water. Seems to work much better on long hair than on stubble, but then what’s the point, you know? I won’t be buying Veet again – I can shave faster than Veet works so why bother with the mess? (and it is messy!)

  5. What is good about Veet is that it leaves your skin very smooth. But the stench is nearly unbearable, and it feels like rubber after you have rubbed it on your skin. I only put up with it because it does leave your skin smooth.
