I am looking into Laser Hair Removal on my buttocks, has anyone undergone this treatment on this area?

I am a male in the Los Angeles area. I am considering getting laser hair removal on my buttocks and perineum area to reduce the amount of hair which I have there. For obvious reasons I am embarrassed, intimidated, and nervous about this. I have read that this is safe and a common treatment. Is there anybody who has undergone this treatment who could give me some advice or let me know of their experience?
