Laser hair removal vs waxing for my bikini area?

I’ve been been getting brazilian waxes monthly for about two years now. And I’m considering getting laser hair removal down there. I know that for laser hair removal it is recommended that you shave, and once I start treatment, I’m willing to make the switch from waxing to shaving.
